The Lagos State Government, on Saturday, May 9, 2020 released a graphic presentation of LGAs with highest COVID-19 confirmed cases.
According to Lagos State Commissioner for Health, Prof. Akin Abayomi, who released the list, Lagos Mainland has the highest coronavirus cases in the state followed by Alimosho, Oshodi, Mushin, Ikeja, Kosofe and Isolo LGA.
Abayomi said the State was using the data to plan its strategies and where to place increased surveillance and isolation capacity.
As at Friday, May 8, 2020, Nigeria recorded 386 confirmed cases of COVID-19 with Lagos State topping the list with 176 confirmed cases.
